If there’s one thing that gets people really hot under the collar, it’s pizza.
Is pineapple an acceptable topping? Should you really eat a large one in a sitting?
Papa John’s or Dominoes? Does Italy produce the best pizza?
There are endless questions to be asked when it comes to pizza.
If there’s one thing that people can be very particular about, it’s what should and shouldn’t be put on top of the cheesy delicacy.
But it seems there might be a new food argument heading our way after a restaurant tweeted a picture of how a customer had eaten their pizza.
Honest Crust Sourdough Pizza, in Altrincham, Manchester, took to social media to share a picture of the dish.
And it’s fair to say that people weren’t happy, as this customer had avoided eating the crust at all.
The restaurant, which has been dubbed ‘incredible’ in rave reviews on TripAdvisor, jokingly tweeted: “2020, why do you want to hurt us so much?”
Many were left outraged by the unknown customer’s decision to leave the crust behind.
One person replied: “People who do this should not have pizza.”
Another joked: “This customer is a monster,” while another agreed, replying: “Just wrong on every possible level. What sort of freak does this?”
One customer said the pizza vendor should offer dipping sauces to avoid this – but it turns out they already do.
Many, many people were shocked by the decision to ditch the crust.
One person blasted: “That is a criminal offence. Manhunt in order”
Another suggested that the customer might have been following a Slimming World diet, adding: “Don’t be offended. They’re probably crying as they walked away.”
A third advised: “Never trust a person who eats pizza with a knife and fork.”
